Aromatherapy Essential Oils

Go to essential oils list

Aromatherapy is a holistic treatment using the essential oils from plants. It is a therapy that dates back to Egyptian times. In the early nineteenth century the use of oils died out somewhat, because of new chemical formulas and synthetic drugs. But early twentieth century bought a renewed interest in natural products and treatments. At the moment more and more case studies prove the effectiveness of the essential oils. They are used in treating a whole range of ailments from eczema to irritable bowl syndrome. If you would like to purchase some essential oils please go to my Ebay

Dropper bottle and some flowers
Aromatherapy uses oils made from plants and flowers.

It may be used alongside orthodox methods, or another type of treatment. Everything about the individual receiving treatment has been taken into consideration.

When there is a contraindication to treatment a G.P’s approval will be required or special care may be needed. The main method used is holistic
aromatherapy. This is done by different massage techniques and creates a whole balancing of the body system. The therapy will be done after
a individuals lifestyle has been thoroughly considered by a qualified aromatherapist, in case there are any contra indications to the treatment.

Because each individual oil has different properties, they also each have there own contra-indications, i.e. if a person wanted to relax then to use an oil which is stimulating would not be appropriate.

Some of the other uses of aromatherapy are steam inhalations, baths, compresses. Also oils can be used in creams for the skin and in vapourizer’s which scent the atmosphere of a room.
